The black buck moved trhough the creek. He was cautious and it showed in his tail as it was in mid form. He could tell no one was here, but a herd could thrive here in hte creek bed, with water and fresh food. He knew he could start a herd, it'd be tuff, but he could do it, or die trying to. Her shook his antles and rose his head up to the leaders position as he began marking his new territory. Soon more would come here, or so he hoped..

Violet cautiostly walked through a Buck's Territory.She could smell the scent.Her White fur shivered,maybe he would accept her as part off his herd.Hello? She called hopefully.

Comet turned his black form towards the vocals he had heard. At the sight of a white doe he though of his friend, but knew it wasn't her. HE smiled and nodded before answering her. Hi, I am Comet, lead of these lands, who might you be? He asked as he looked her over, she didn't seem dark, and that was good in his case, she seemed just right to live here with him, and others if more came.

Comet smiled and nodded his head. Sure, welcome to your new home then Violet. He said with a smile as he looked around then back to her. Finding a herd, then a doe in hte same day, wow this was going to be so much fun, being ruler and protecter, as well as all the doe's that I will be around, but still he knew, he'd have to fight more and more, and protect everyone that lived here from predators...

Violet dipped her head as submission to her leader and just stood there,not knowing what to do next.Is there anybody else in this herd?We need a lot more if we want to survive.

Comet smirked at her again at her words and sighed. Sadly we are the only two, but then again, not many others have arrived yet. I can keep three or more doe's safe, but I will need a second steed soon then. But for now, we can enjoy some peace, for not many predators are around here yet eather. He said greatfully as he looked at the creek and then back to her.

Comet pondered, anywhere would work, she could even sleep by him if she wanted. He wouldn't mind, he actually liked being close to does. You choose, I'm oing to sleep on that little ledge under the tree if you want to sleep by me. He said using his nose to point to the ledge witch held a small cave that had been created by the roots of the tree that was on the ledge, over looking the creek.

Comet smiled and slowly followed her. As she layed down, he lept to the top of the ledge and quietly stood there, listening and looking over the land. He couldn't just sleep like Violet could, he was lead, and he had to watch over her. His tail was down in a meaning it was safe as he only heard birds and other small animals rushing around the forest floor.

Comet peered down at her as she awoke and spoke. Hooves flew through the air as he jumped down to the ground in front of her. I was listening to the forest. He said as he looked at her thenaround them once more before back to her.

Violet stood up and decided to take a run.Calling back as her hooves pounded the soft ground,I'm going for a run! Being alone for 2 years,she didn't know you were suppose to stay in a group.

Comet looked at her and took off after her as she ran. Legs thundered arcoss the rocks of the creek until he came beside the doe. Wait, Stop. HE said as he moved with her. Had she never been in a herd before? Or was it just him trying to make being a lead work out right?

Comet stopped as she did and sighed. Don't you know that you need to stay in a group for safety when it comes to herds. You can never go off on your own, or risk never returning to see the light of day. He said warningly, just to let her know, not as a threat however, just letting his own knowledge flow to her.

Pawing the ground she set off on a moderatly slow trot.
